29

So I am now 29. I normally never get depressed about getting older, but it seems like something hit met this year. It has been a slow process, but I feel like it was most rapid this year.

I am:
an adult, married, and have a career.

I don't:
Have many real friends to hang out with, do much besides work, have much interest in things I once did, feel that great about it all(except for the marriage thing, that has been the best thing to ever happen to me).

My birthday this year really seemed to just sum it up, and throw it in my face. I don't think it is a bad thing, but the realization just came on pretty strong.

And then I find myself laughing at this:

Chuck

So maybe it isn't really that big of a deal.

For me, it was around this age when it really sunk in that life is damn short. There is still time to do important things and have fun, but not near as much time as you might have once thought. You still have your health. Even better, If you are still smoking, you have time to quit and recover from it. Happy birthday!

I'm pretty sure an injunction is in the works that will prevent Chuck E from making magic with any more of America's children. Seriously, how did that get past the board of directors?!? Hilarious!
Anyway, if you're starting to feel old and stagnant, why not pick everything up and move to a new continent. My next door neighbor is moving next month...you guys could be my voisins.
