The Gambler

SO my friends Alana and George felt sorry for me sitting around doing nothing this weekend as Melissa was away. So they picked me up and we hung out. I think it started in the arcade when we were addicted to trying to get this prize out of a machine. I am going to blame Alana by random choice for coming up with the idea of going to one of the Indian casinos.

I had never been, and was curious. So we got directions from a friend via cell phone and was told 20-30min drive. AWESOME!!! Ok 1 hour later we see it on the horizon, flashing and blinking us home. Walking into that place is truly odd. All the stereotypical "Gamblers with problems" I expected to see were there. The sound was pretty amazing because they all seemed to make their little respected sounds in the same key. This creates a sort of haunting spacey pad of sound. Alright back to the gamblin'. I think I put about 10 bucks into that place, and walked out with a ticket worth 7 pennies. I wasn't too impressed with it all. Although I only spent $10 I feel like I did something horrible with our money. Oh well.

Anyone had any luck at these places?

i went to the casino that is directly to your right of the highway entering oklahoma from texas a few months back. i spent about three bones but merrily walked away wth twenty!!! so yeah i guess i had some luck with those indian casinos. however on a side note, i went to lake tahoe to ski and ended up gambling and i did not fair so well. so maybe i was lucky, or maybe it was just the redman helping me out! on another side note, i am part redman just so i do not offend any other redman out there. thank you and i bid you farewell. - heath-alicious

dear brian,
i'm sorry you never got your $1000 you dreamt about, or the nintendo ds that you wanted, or the quiet saturday afternoon that you had hoped for all week.
we'll do better next weekend.

2 weekends ago, lindsay comes up to me (at a bar! at 1:30 in the morning!) and says "ben (her roommate)is feeling lucky," so i went w/ them to thunderbird wild wild west casino (a whole lotta vegas and gold rush fun). 2 hours, blackjack all the way, i only lost 66 dollars, and 6 of that was given to lindsay to go play slots. my loss was a pittance compared to the losses of my companions.
