Those old days before douchebag hair

I stumbled upon this live clip of Pavement the other day. This band has a big place in my memories and heart. Watch this clip. See the lack of douchebag hair? Ridiculous clothes? Piercings? Uniforms? I think this is why I can't stand most "awesome" bands these days. Gimmicks, fashion, and myspace'iness. These guys just made good music, and that was sufficient, no that was awesome.

I wouldn't rule out their douchebag hair.

I like the word "myspace'iness..."

It's up there with Colbert's "truthiness."

Brian Brewer, I remember when you had a Pavement sticker on your car and I saw it parked at TU and got all excited that someone else on campus liked my favorite band.
