High Five Portland!

Taken from http://bikeportland.org:

"The League of American Bicyclists will officially announce later today that Portland has become the first major city in America to be designated as a Platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Community. (The only other city to have reached the Platinum level is Davis, California with a population of 63,000.)"

Even after 10 months of living in this city, I am still being amazed and changed with this city. My wife and I are getting way into biking around the city vs. driving or trimet. But rest assured that we are the good kind of bikers. The ones that actually obey the rules given to bikers and cars alike. HIGH FIVE! (smack)

Cute hug

Cute hug, originally uploaded by Brewcaster.

I met this guy/girl at the convenient store I walk to at work. Dog was a little nervous about strangers, but didn't mind Elmo hanging on his back. I think Elmo was keeping him/her warm.

This is how I get to work now

This is how I get to work now, originally uploaded by Brewcaster.

Riding to work now. Shaving about 20 minutes off the commute, and getting a great workout.

Takes me about 40min to go 7.2 miles to work.

New place to read brewcaster junk

I am going to start contributing to this site:
http://www.trimetiquette.com/

As a user of Trimet pretty much everyday, I feel like this site is a much needed place for riders and would-be riders to gain valuable info about the transit system in Portland. This will be a place that will tell you stuff Trimet.org doesn't/can't. Come on by!
