Like You Care

OK, so day 3 of being sick. Once again I stayed home from work. I know this is gripping text. Melissa and I didn't get much done on the wedding stuff. We planned a lot but I was unable to function outside of the house. We went and saw Ester Drang play. We had a good time. Some friends came over afterwards which was nice.

Sunday we went to Melissa's sister and brothers house. Easter Egg hunt!!! Thier two little daughters are the cutest ever. I felt like hell of course. I am getting pretty tired of laying in this bed.

In other news, I heard the Cheyenne shows I missed were absolutly amazing, I am so jealous I missed them. (reread that with the most sarcastic voice available). I know if I tried to go, I would have been miserable and bitchy. I am happy with the choice I made.

Sorry this is one of the lamest things you will read all day, but hey I am sick right?

Man down...

Crap I feel like.....crap. I woke up Friday morning not that great. I decided to take the day off to prepare for a weekend of shows in Texas. But as they day went on I stated feeling worse. SO unfortunately I had to stay home. Melissa the wonderful, took care of me with wine and pizza.

This may be a blessing in disguise as now we have some time to get some wedding stuff knocked out. Also, I think we are going to go see Ester Drang tonight. I haven't seen them in a long time. "memories...."
Take care!

Forgot one thing...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC!!!!!!!!

Great

OK, this is awesome, people are reading, people are posting. Eric is being an impatient asshole about my posting frequency. Not a lot to mention right now. Cheyenne is playing in Dallas and Denton this weekend. Click the "Rock" link if you are interested. If you are staying in OK go see Student Film at the Deli on Friday. I still haven't seen them with their new lineup. Anyone have any comments on that?

I am trying to quit smoking. I know I have been for 6 years now, but the time is really upon me. I am getting these urges to start working out and get in shape boy. Here is a fun fact you all may not know: Brian Brewer ran Cross Country in High School. In fact he made Varsity sophomore year. My best moment: doing a mile in 5:02. Ya think about me now. How depressing. In fact! The Alaska Factor's singer used to be our star runner. Parker and I used to car pool to races and weekend runs. My how things have changed in my life.

I think Melissa and I are going to stay the night in Dallas on Friday and then go to the JFK museum. We always wanted to go, but never have. I get such a feeling just driving down that street. Other than that, I am not a big fan of Dallas. Deep Ellum makes me want to vomit.

The Gambler

SO my friends Alana and George felt sorry for me sitting around doing nothing this weekend as Melissa was away. So they picked me up and we hung out. I think it started in the arcade when we were addicted to trying to get this prize out of a machine. I am going to blame Alana by random choice for coming up with the idea of going to one of the Indian casinos.

I had never been, and was curious. So we got directions from a friend via cell phone and was told 20-30min drive. AWESOME!!! Ok 1 hour later we see it on the horizon, flashing and blinking us home. Walking into that place is truly odd. All the stereotypical "Gamblers with problems" I expected to see were there. The sound was pretty amazing because they all seemed to make their little respected sounds in the same key. This creates a sort of haunting spacey pad of sound. Alright back to the gamblin'. I think I put about 10 bucks into that place, and walked out with a ticket worth 7 pennies. I wasn't too impressed with it all. Although I only spent $10 I feel like I did something horrible with our money. Oh well.

Anyone had any luck at these places?

When Monitors Become Mains

Wow what a crazy night at the Hi-Lo with Aqueduct. They put on a great show considering the facts. The highlight would have to have been when a drunk idiot threw an MGD bottle at Dave. I have rarely seen the fire that was unleashed. Dave was kicking this guys ass with just words. Calling a dood out on the baseball cap worn backwards was so wonderful. Me and some guy behind me started throwing bottles and shot glasses at the dood. He almost started with me but his friend took him away. I am not going to pretend that I wouldn't have gotten beaten if I had to face him alone. I am such a wuss.

Baseball bat

I don't know why it gets to me, but when I ask someone in passing, "How's it going?" and they reply, "It's going." I just want to start swinging. I am being serious. It lights a fire deep in my stomach, and I have to use all my strength from lashing out physically or verbally. Please come up with something else to say. It is not witty, it's not funny, it makes Brian mad.

Weekend Delight....

Wow, what a weekend! Keep in mind I saw AnchorMan on Thursday and have had that damn "Afternoon Delight" song in my head ever since. Still I hear it about every 4 minutes. Let's see, Friday we went to Norman with good intentions on seeing Locust Avenue and Pleasant Grove at the Opolis. As we drank and fed ourselves at Bison Witches(who has the money to drink at the Opolis?) we began to grow collectively tired. So we all decided to hang at a friends house back in OKC. SORRY LOCUST AVENUE!!! Everyone needs to go to their CD release show April 9th at the Deli in Norman. Student Film will be playing at the Deli for the first time. Let's show them the fun that can be had.

Saturday we went to a wedding. This gave us plenty to work from while planning our wedding. Then oh man, we went to the dog park. I will not go into it. Let's just say that it was so awesome.
We then went to our friend's b-day party and saw a lot of old Normanites we had not seen in awhile. Good times, great oldies. I had the best discussion with some of the other guys about old school WWF wrestling.

So, what did you do this weekend?

Tues. night - Aqueduct at The Hi-Lo(OKC)
Sun. night - Aqueduct at The Opolis(Norman)
You will go if you know what's good for you!

Allright I think....

I think we are running on at least one cylinder here. Thanks for coming by. This will all probably turn out to be really crappy. Or I may give up on it pretty quick. I will need feedback to make it worth while. Thanks again for coming by. (biting my tongue not to mention that we took the Beagles to the dog park today)

Raise UP!!!!

I got a pretty large raise today!!! At least I am excited, I dunno about you.
